Privacy Policy

• taw does not require an account and does not ask for your name, email or any personal profile.
• The only data taw sends off your device is the invoice image or PDF you choose to scan, which is uploaded to our processing service to extract its details and return them to you.
• We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising or tracking.

• Camera — only when you tap “Take a photo” to capture an invoice.
• Photos / Files — only when you choose to import an existing image or PDF.

taw accesses these solely to let you select the document you want to scan. taw does not browse, scan or upload anything you don’t explicitly pick.

When you scan a document, the image or PDF is sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection to our processing service (the Eloquent platform, using Microsoft Azure Document Intelligence for text recognition and an AI model to structure the result). The service reads the document and returns the structured invoice details (number, dates, parties, line items, tax and total) to your device.

This document may itself contain information about you or third parties (for example seller/buyer names and amounts). We process it only to perform the scan you requested.

• The structured result is shown in the app and is held only in the app’s memory for your session; taw does not maintain an account-based history of your scans.
• Uploaded files are processed transiently to produce the result and are not used for any other purpose. They are not sold or shared with advertisers.

• Microsoft Azure (Document Intelligence) — optical character recognition.
• AI model providers used by the Eloquent platform — to structure the extracted text into invoice fields.

These providers process the document only to deliver the scanning result.

• You control what is scanned — nothing is uploaded unless you pick a document.
• You can revoke Camera and Photos permissions at any time in iOS/Android Settings; the corresponding feature will simply stop working.

taw is a business tool and is not directed at children under 13.

We may update this policy; the “Last updated” date above will change accordingly.
